News: Lanvin’s Fall Campaign Video

When you think of Lanvin, one of the world’s most revered fashion houses, you might not imagine models dancing around to the beats of a Zumba workout tune. However, that is exactly how the label has chosen to present its Autumn/Winter 11 collection, in a video which features gorgeous supermodels Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann, dancing in quirky synchronised style to the lyrics ‘I Know You Want Me’.
Directed by Steven Meisel, the video brings life and humour to Lavin’s Fall collection while not compromising on style. The collection, a mix of black cocktail dresses, grey woolen capes, wide felt hats and striking mustard and coral party dresses, is set against an opulent backdrop which ensures there is glamour and humour in equal measure.
With such feel good factor the video is a welcome break from the often serious tone taken by fashion videos. Designer Alber Elbaz gives a strong message that Lanvin clothes may be timeless and made of the finest of fabrics, but they can also be fun. His debut dance at the end of the video marks his seal of approval, and has left us feeling a lot of love and longing for Lanvin.
