Look of the day: Libby’s loved up by the log fire look

If you’re going skiing any time soon it seems a shame to bypass the opportunity of curling up by a log fire with the one you love. Of course, you can’t be wearing any old thing., you need to take inspiration from Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’, and wrap up warm, but in retro style.
A Vionnet pullover and Madeleine Thompson cashmere and silk leisure pants set the neutral tone of utter comfort. Make sure your feet are warmed by some Bamford travel socks and an Alexander McQueen ‘Save the McQueen’ scarf, to add a bit of colour. Keep some Chantecaille lifting cream and Benefit tint hidden in your shearling bag just to accentuate your already luminous skin, as you bask in the fire light.
We won’t dwell on why, but in the heated, smouldering atmosphere, the need to peel off some of those layers may arise. If so, make sure you’re appropriately dressed underneath with some Elle Macpherson delicates. We guarantee it’ll be a night to remember!
