Seductive

Styling by Rebecca Corbin-Murray

Right, we’ve already made our stance on Valentine’s Day clear. This is the year when women take control, and confess their love for that special man or woman they’ve been pining after, instead of mooching around waiting to be swept of their feet. We’ve given you a comprehensive list of what key items will help you get success over singledom this year, but there are still important questions to be asked.

Number one one the list has to be dressing seductively. How do you work that sexy ‘come-to-bed’ look without looking slutty? A tiny dress can seem very bad taste on a romantic night, but it’s equally disastrous to end up looking frumpy or frigid. A great option is a playsuit, because it shows off your legs, but without the danger of flashing your Virginia Wolf. Acne’s black playsuit gives off a sexy silhouette, and adds to the appeal by having a high neck and long sleeves, with buttons that your date will deeply desire to slowly undo as the evening comes to an end. The only time acne has ever been acceptable in a romantic setting.

Seeing as you’re showing off your leg, why not emphasise the shape and slim ankles by wearing a very flattering pair of Gianvito Rossi sandals. Feet are also very sexy, when nice and tanned with a good pedicure, so make sure you tend to your toes before the date commences. A bit of trusty lipstick or a spritz of perfume can be stored in a discreet but divine Fendi clutch.

With an outfit like this, it’s almost inevitable you’ll end up on a chaise longue, ‘getting to know each other’. To avoid embarrassment, make sure you’re wearing some excellent underwear. A beautiful and enhancing Kiki De Montparnasse bra is a great start.

Finally, never underestimate the power of scent. Open those evocative and erotic senses by lighting a candle with a heady seductive perfume. Diptyque’s Baies is your perfect partner in crime.
