News: Theme of the month: the body

Posted: . Filed under: News

Ballet dancer Carlos Acosta.

It’s May, and winter has long since released us from its chillsome claws, so we’re celebrating the body. We’re leaving aside the clothes for the month and looking beneath to the form that makes our stellar fashion choices sing. It’s a celebration of the hedonism of the flesh all month on Motilo.com.

During May, we shoot the pert behinds of Brazil’s beach culture, we have a luscious nude photo series starring the best autumn/winter body jewellery from Bjorg, we’re sharing our in-house tips before staying in shape and talking to the trainers that make it happen.

This month we’re buying tickets to see the ballet body, Carlos Acosta, in the Royal Ballet’s Romeo and Juliet at the o2 arena.

We’ve also looked back through fashion history at how each era has had a shape that’s been in vogue, even though our curves and bumps are mainly resistant to trends, in our experience.

Have you built some looks on Motilo yet? You will notice that we’ve intentionally left the body blank on our in-store mannequin. That’s because we want Motilo to be about you, and your body. There’s no one best shape, just like there’s no one-sizefits-all outfit for everyone. We want you to make Motilo your own and always make the most of what you’ve got. There’s beauty in every body.
