Buy of the day: What to wear to a private view

Sorry if you are on your way out the door to the Serpentine already, but we had a request from a friend who’s off to the Frieze Art Fair and wasn’t sure what to wear.
Knowing she had a few of these pieces in her wardrobe – spiky little shoe boots and a black blazer – we put together a rather high spend and also a low spend option for her.
A private view or a party like the opening of Frieze usually happens after you’ve been out working or meeting all day. So to keep it clever, pop a pair of special earrings in your bag. A quick addition of a spangly accessory will jazz up either of these looks, both of which are suitable for daytime when under-accessorised.
Both the shirt and the dress here are rather painterly, which is just literally so arty. Plus prints of all types are wildly popular for next spring summer, so these looks keep you one step ahead.
