New York: three parties, one night

Amanda Lepore wants to hear what's on your list this year.

As the 25th draws closer, and consumption of baked goods gradually overtakes the daily routine – the only form of physical exertion available to ensure you don’t turn into a premature Christmas pud is the seasonal party binge.

Last Thursday in New York saw a celebratory marathon take place as three events dominated the social calendar in one evening – leaving everyone racing in their Skovgaards to get a look in at each venue.

Firstly there was Anglomania down in the Soho district with the grand opening of the new, rapidly expanding, AllSaints store. Attended by none other than Florence Welch and Alex Wek, as well as rising star Sky Ferriera – everyone seemed to be loving a bit of distressed leather combined with a rip-off Finsk heel.

Florence and the thousands of Singer machines.

Alek Wek looking statuesque as ever.

Next up we had cooler-than-thou kids, Opening Ceremony, paying homage to Showgirls with a strip club soiree. Guests such as Claire Danes and husband Hugh Dancy along with Alexander Wang looked on appreciatvely as performers gyrated festively in their Santa thongs. An X-rated Christmas seemed to be the order of the day as last but not least, and certainly not to be outdone, Chandelier Creative bagged the best Father Christmas since Tim Allen in the voluptuous form of Amanda Lepore. Partygoers such as Todd Selby waited in line to pop a squat on the lovely lady’s knee before paying $10 to enjoy a peep show from the company’s interns. We sure hope they got their Christmas bonuses.
